I bought this ring for my fiancé for our recent marriage. Look folks, I have read some strange reviews of this stuff, but the bottom line is, platinum is platinum and if it says 950 (which means 95% platinum and 5% alloy, which is the best you can buy), it is just that. This is a metal ring with a little shaping and polishing... THAT's IT!!! It is exactly what it says it is in the description! You absolutely cannot get a better price on this item anywhere! I challenge anyone to go to a local jewelry store... even some mall junk-shop like Kay, and try and beat this price based on quality. This ring is not stamped PLAT 950, it is stamped "Benchmark PLAT" so this is a Benchmark ring. Benchmark seems like a fine company, I just wish I was informed about what exactly this ring was because then I would have checked it out further on Benchmark's website. It ended up being too domed looking and not thick enough for me so I'm getting a Euro style one to replace it. This one is about 1.8 mm thick compared to the 2.0 and slightly thicker Euro style rings.Amazed at the quality for this price By Me
I bought this ring in a size 9.5 for my fiancé. The quality is fantastic. This ring has a nice heavy feel, and is perfect in every way. After reading the reveiws, I ordered one-half size smaller. That worked well, especially since the price difference was $599 vs $763 for a size 10.
We had looked in several shops, and platinum seems difficult to find. The shop owners came up with prices anywhere from $950 to $1800 to order in a 4mm platinum band. Uh, really? I decided to check online, and am pleased that I did. It arrived the next afternoon.
