I was concerned that the abalone may have a feminine "mother of pearl" look, but was pleasantly surprised at how well this ring looks in person. It has a good weight to it and a very masculine appearance with just enough reflection and shine to be a conversation piece. This ring is a beautiful ring. I get a lot of compliments on it and it looks like I spent a small fortune on it. My only problem is that the ring was a little too big for my ring finger. I have skinny, boney fingers so the ring has to pass over a knuckle before it settles in its spot. It was supposed to as big as my wedding band that was sized at a professional jeweler but you can physically see that the size of the ring, next to my normal wedding band, is a size bigger. So when ordering the ring, order a half size to a full size lower. I have put the ring through a lot of punishment and it has not scratched yet.Absolutely Lovely By Pretty313
