my first encounter with this ring was when I was about 10 (I am 49 now) I was on a school field trip and there was this cool little wolf ring that was silver plated and it was within the dollars mom had given me so I bought. it fast forward to 2013 I still have that ring in my jewelry box, the silver has slowly started to flake off it now, and no longer even fits my pinky finger. So being nostalgic one day I decided to see if there was a better ring like it out there that was solid 925 sterling. I looked at a number of rings none of them with the same detail as my little wolf ring, and then suddenly I came across this ring! it was my ring! and in solid sterling for a ridiculously good price and what was better I could order it in my current ring size. when the ring arrived I tore into the package and removed the ring from its bag and bang there it was, I went to my room and took out my other ring to compare it. I knew that this ring had obviously been recast from an original from years ago so I was afraid the detail would be lost and my little ring would somehow still be better, but to my surprise this ring was actually more detailed than mine. being an artist and having done my own fair share of jewelry work I knew it was because my little ring had been silver plated which filled in a lot of the detail. the only other difference was that this wolf's head was slightly smaller than my original (probably due to recasting shrinkage). the casting is flawless, it is indeed solid 925, and I love it. if I had any complaint at all I would say the only thing would be that I wish the band was a bit beefier it is rather narrow for a man's ring, regardless the ring is a wonderful piece and I highly recommend it to any one who loves wolf items. as I said before I know jewelry and this is a really nice casting not one of those cheap pieces of crap that the underside isn't even finished, this ring is finished above and below and as sterling silver rings go this is a very fine quality. this ring is one of the best i have bought. the detail is wonderful, the band is very comfortable, and i just love how it looks. it is also worth noting that i have a tendency to be rough with my jewelry and this piece hasn't got a scratch.sigh.... By Tiffany willis
Was much smaller than I expected kinda disappointed. bought this as a gift for a friend so hopefully he will like it if not oh well.....
