Looking at the image on Amazons website, the etchings appear to stand out than they really do.They are actually more dull in color, (with that in mind)... I actually like better in real life. Fit and finish were perfect for me. Just be sure you check the size chart correctly. Keep in mind, I replaced a James Avery cross ring which has taken enough punishment for ten years (actually oval now). Im really bad at taking my rings off when working on our cars, garage projects and normal day life. I wanted a ring that could hold up better for the long haul, one take the abuse. When choosing a ring, a comfort fit style size is bigger than a standard ring. You may want to go a size smaller than a typical ring. I had a 12.5 James Avery ring and pickef a size 12 here. I love this ring. My ring finger is small for a man, (size 7) but this ring looks very manly on my hand. It's pretty heavy and I frequently knock it against stuff and it makes a loud noise. I work on the assembly line for a auto manufacturer and with all the tools and different surfaces the ring touches, it won't scratch. Love it!
