Only recently was I introduced the tension setting ring. I absolutely love it. I did a quick search on Amazon to compare prices of rings on its site with the astronomical prices I saw on commercial jewelers' websites. Anyway, I came across this vendor and I was attracted to the simplicity of this ring and the small stone (not big enough to be considered "bling" in my book). The ring arrived yesterday in a ginormous box, but it was carefully wrapped and would probably endure most natural disasters and nuclear blasts. The ring was gorgeous and the little stone, surprisingly, shimmered as if it was real. I wore it today and actually got a compliment on it from a friend. Unfortunately, I have a habit of playing with my rings and I somehow must have stretched the band resulting in the loss of the stone. It was my fault, but hopefully this serves as a "helpful hint" to future buyers to not test the tension of the band. It's not that tense. That said, I still gave it 5 stars.
Took a star away because I keep getting annoying emails asking to review it when I already did. Plus, after thinking more about it, a ring shouldn't lose all of its function because the stone easily fell out. I didn't bang it or purposely try to stretch the band, I played with it on my hand. 4 stars.
