Like many things in our society which has been "up marketed", tungsten carbide is just a very hard steel alloy and not a precious metal. It shouldn't cost $ hundreds for a ring. My bride slipped this on my finger in front of a preacher a month ago in Hawaii and I couldn't be happier with the quality, fit, and overall value of this ring. We went snorkeling the next day and a wave shoved me into some coral or really hard igneous lava rock. I had to quickly put my hand on it to catch myself and felt the ring scraping hard on the rocks. I thought for sure it would leave gouges or at least scratches. Nope! It looked pristine. That is one tough ring. It's also very hefty and thick. I've come close to shattering a wine glass, because I grabbed it too fast with my left hand and heard a loud clink. My only complaint might be considered a design flaw. The outer top edges of the band on either side of the engraving aren't really beveled - more like a 90 degree turn. This sharp edge isn't enough to cut, but I can feel it scraping when washing my face or running my palm against wooden furniture has left marks on the wood. Also, as others have mentioned, it's not as dark or gun metal looking as the pictures would suggest. Still, considering what others are charging for similar rings, this is just a ridiculous value.Decent ring By The EMH
This Tungsten Carbide ring is nice for the price. Its etching appears deeper and more detailed in the photos on Amazon but in reality its laser etching is very faint and you really have to get it into bright light to see it clearly. Not deep at all. So far the ring has been resistant to scratches and holding up well. Has a nice weight to it. Decent Ring.good ring By anonymous
My fiance needed a ring for our wedding ceremony but he works in the oil feild where he cant wear his ring or it would be ruined so finding something cheap was terrific. It fit very good and looked very good
