The metal has a nice weight to it and yes it does not scratch at all! I love that about Tungsten Carbide - great shine too. I was let down that the masonic square and compass was not stamped in - its printed on and I was always worried that it would scratch off. I had returned it because I got it at size 9.5 but needed 10 to fit my finger better.
