Palladium is an excellent alternative to platinum; it offers all the benefits of platinum (color, hypoallergenic, hefty) without the exorbitant price tag. This ring is made by Benchmark, a brand known for its quality and excellent warranty. Be sure to contact Benchmark for registration information to take advantage of their lifetime service. Other customers should be aware that comfort fit rings run larger than non-comfort fit items. My husband normally wears 11 or 11.5. We purchased size 11 of this ring and was loose. We ended up returning the 11 for a size 10.5. The 6mm band is a perfect size for a man's hand; it looks masculine without being chunky. The ring has classic styling with rounded edges and a dome shape. Overall, an excellent choice.
Edit: The first ring I received (which I sent back because it was too large) came in the wood box, as described, with a polishing cloth. Well, I sent back the ring exactly as it was sent to me and the smaller size I ordered only came in a small velvet bag. No wood box, no polishing cloth. This is an excellent deal for a palladium ring if you're looking for something comparable to platinum without the cost. Local jewelery stores were quoting my wife and I over $1,000 for the exact same ring. It's a Benchmark ring, but Amazon doesn't provide any warranty information so be sure to contact Benchmark within 30 days of purchase to receive their lifetime warranty. Ring started to show a couple of surface scratches after a few weeks so I'm going to see if getting it refinished with an authorized Benchmark retailer will help.
